Crown Castle is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer II with knowledge and experience in software testing and best practices with hands-on manual test execution for GUI, API, DB, Service Now and/or mobile applications along with ATF test automation development experience. As a Quality Assurance Engineer II you will join our Data & Digital Team and participate in day-to-day testing and certification of software solutions as well as conduct hands on test design, execution and reporting within your assigned Agile Team. You will collaborate with Developers and Product Owners to verify that the system under test meets all requirements and company standards. You will help implement best practices and enterprise-wide quality initiatives.

  • Collaborate with product development, engineering and quality assurance teammates to confirm acceptance criteria/requirements and technical designs
  • Develop manual and automated test cases to cover all requirements/acceptance criteria and document all test results
  • Provide high-level test and automation estimates for conceptual evaluation as well as detailed estimates and tasks for quality assurance activities
  • Author test plans & test cases (both manual and automated), complete requirement/defect to test case traceability matrices (including ensuring 100% coverage of all testable requirements), conduct peer reviews, log/troubleshoot/resolve defects, mitigate risks/resolve issues, track/report progress
  • Represent the quality engineering practice in agile ceremonies and serve as an ambassador for quality within assigned Agile Team
  • Assist in the implementation of automated test frameworks
  • Meet project deadlines and prioritize work
  • Help reduce technical debt by developing detailed test cases, documenting all system functionality in a prioritized test case repository, automating test cases, establishing regression and end to end test suites, and providing documentation
  • Grow your technical and functional understanding of aspects of the business applications and product functionality to perform testing and QA analytics
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in developing both manual and automated tests
  • 2+ years of ServiceNow testing experience with ATF automation experience
  • Testing experience across different modules like ITSM, CSM, FSM of Service Now strongly preferred
  • Experience writing test scenarios & test cases, estimating test efforts, developing automated test scripts, authoring test documentation and defining test data management practices
  • Hands-on experience testing AWS Migration and AWS Lambda functions
  • Understanding and implementation experience with test automation framework design
  • Experience collaborating with IT partners, Business partners and other Stakeholders to deliver quality products on schedule
  • Experience adhering to QA best practices and standards especially operating within DevOps and Agile or Kanban environments
  • Understanding of QA methodologies, QA architecture, procedures, tools, documentation, metrics & analytics (including ROI)
  • Hands on experience with functional, integration, system & E2E testing, API testing, database validation and / or mobile applications testing
  • Technical skills preferred: strong SQL, Postman / Swagger / SOAP UI, Agile workflow management tool (JIRA, ADO or other), test management tool (Octane, ALM, Qmetry or other)
