About the position

The Software Development Manager leads the automation, functional testing, and management of a team of testers, who will establish and help in certifying systems, platforms and tools. They rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers both internal and external. They build short and long term technical strategy in partnership with internal technology and product partners and work very closely with IT partner teams working on multiple projects. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations.
  • Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
  • Drives continuous testing practice improvements across technical disciplines (e.g., team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance).
  • Handles relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
  • Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.
  • Responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
  • 4+ years experience in an Analytics and Business Intelligence development environment.
  • Experience in managing, leading or supervising a team of 15 testers or more.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
