About The Position

The Software Quality Assurance Manager will lead the Quality Engineering (QE) team within the Wolters Kluwer Digital Experience Group, focusing on enhancing product quality through effective testing strategies and automation. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality deliverables while supporting the strategic goals of the organization. The position requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant QE and automation testing experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading QE Teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of Testing SOA Based Applications.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Tosca, Sahi, Protractor, Cucumber, and Selenium.
  • Hands-on command with scripting languages, preferably JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Test Management Solutions like QTest, Xray with JIRA.
  • Experience in services test automation using frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, SoapUI, Rest Assured, Junit/TestNG.
  • Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and automation tools in a DevOps approach, with Jenkins being a plus.
  • Proactive assessment of potential problems impacting quality deliverables or schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the WK dXg Platform Engineering Team to support effective QE capabilities.
  • Provide direction to QE Analysts to successfully plan and execute QE Programs.
  • Participate in program planning and provide technical reviews on Requirements, Design Documents, and Project Plans from a Quality Engineering perspective.
  • Coordinate efforts within the QE Team to increase the use of automation and related tools.
  • Assist QE Analysts in reviewing Business Requirements and Software System Designs for gaps and testability.
  • Develop effective Test Strategies to support Development Programs and Projects.
  • Assist QE Analysts in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues uncovered during testing.
  • Create Test Strategies that define the testing scope and approach for projects.
  • Direct the day-to-day QE deliverables for the QE projects.
  • Conduct daily/weekly Issue Review Meetings and represent QE for Assessment phases of assigned projects.
  • Proactively determine more efficient test approaches to increase quality and reduce overall QE costs.
  • Develop end-to-end test plans with other teams to ensure complete system testing coverage.
  • Generate project status reports and participate in yearly team objective progress.
  • Participate in Escaped Defect Analysis process and maintain all quality data.
  • Maintain all Atlassian JIRA & Tricentis qTest project setup and data maintenance for projects.
  • Drive independent QE thought leadership to evolve QE processes and identify gaps for measurable improvements.
  • Ensure team goals are set and tracked periodically for completion and facilitate team members' growth.
