About The Position

SS&C Technologies is the world’s largest independent hedge fund and private equity administrator, as well as the largest mutual fund transfer agency. SS&C’s unique business model combines end-to-end expertise across financial services operations with proprietary software and solutions to service even the most demanding customers in the financial services and healthcare industries. The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our trust accounting and asset management software products by designing and executing test plans, performing detailed manual testing, and validating system behavior across complex legacy applications and database environments. This role also produces high-quality technical documentation and training materials for both internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, excellent written communication abilities, and a deep understanding of database queries and structured testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with database query languages and data validation.
  • Extensive experience with manual testing of complex and legacy software systems.
  • Proven ability to create technical documents and training materials, including user guides, process documentation, and reference manuals.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues from multiple angles.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multivalue databases (such as UniData or UniVerse).
  • Experience with oil and gas accounting software or related industry processes.
  • Broad knowledge of financial markets and securities operations, with exposure to Trust and Fiduciary products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression tests for legacy software applications.
  • Conduct detailed manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues across functional areas.
  • Write and execute complex database queries to validate data integrity and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and confirm acceptance criteria.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design walkthroughs, and release planning activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.
