AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester-Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required in Patuxent River, MD. The Analysis, Debrief, and Test (ADT) Branch supports the development, integration, and testing of the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB) product suite. The software products comprising the JTB support modeling and simulation (M&S) environments; trainer systems; test and evaluation (T&E); analysis; live, virtual and constructive (LVC); research and development (R&D) activities for DoD agencies and its international partners. All products are government owned, developed and managed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics or Engineering OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 5 years of additional work experience (8 years total)
  • Degree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with the DoD supporting development of simulation products
  • Experience working with large teams in an Agile environment
  • Experience creating test plans
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting, database and programming in C++
  • Experience supporting automated testing

Responsibilities

  • Tests software for an advanced synthetic training environment
  • Integrates software into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats
  • Supports software development/ integration, testing, customer training and demonstrations
  • Tests a variety of sensors for post-integration including Verification and Validation testing
  • Documents test results as needed
  • Collaborates with JTB Software Developers and Subject Matter Experts during training sessions
  • Creates new test procedure documents to validate new requirements
  • Communicates with teams to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis
  • Runs extensive regression tests
