About The Position

Are you a strong project manager who loves bringing clarity to complexity? Do you enjoy partnering with teams, translating needs into actionable plans, and delivering projects on time and on budget? If so, we’d love to meet you. We’re looking for a Software Project Manager to serve as the connection between our Software Development team and our ministry partners. This role exists to help ministries clearly define what they need, turn ideas into well-scoped projects, and guide those projects from intake through completion—so leaders are fully equipped to serve people well. Why This Role Matters Technology is not the mission—but it fuels the mission. From database tools to communication systems, the work of our software team supports ministries across every campus. You’ll help ensure the right projects are prioritized, clearly defined, and executed with excellence. You’ll also serve as a trusted partner—someone ministries can call when they’re unsure whether they need training, a quick solution, or a full-scale project. What Success Looks Like Projects Delivered with Excellence - Projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You drive the project management process, clarify timelines and deliverables, and provide consistent communication to stakeholders. Strong Ministry Partnerships - You proactively meet with ministry leaders to understand their needs. You serve as the primary contact for active projects and communicate clearly between software developers, staff, and external vendors. Ministry leaders feel supported, heard, and confident. Support That Builds Confidence - You help triage incoming requests, support recurring system needs, and assist with onboarding and training related to our Rock RMS database and tools. You develop clear prioritization filters and upgrade timelines. You bring order, not confusion. Healthy Volunteer Engagement - You identify opportunities to build and deploy volunteer teams to assist with projects and routine system tasks. If you’re someone who loves bringing clarity, building trust, and helping teams do their best work, this could be a meaningful next step. We’d love to hear your story.

Requirements

  • Relational Intelligence - You communicate clearly and compassionately. You’re an active listener. You handle feedback well and can navigate complex conversations with maturity.
  • Technical Agility - You’ve worked with project management and communication tools (like Asana, HIVE, Freshdesk, Google Workspace, Rock or similar systems) and are comfortable learning new platforms.
  • Execution & Follow-Through - You plan ahead, prepare thoroughly, and consistently finish what you start.
  • Alignment & Integrity - You resonate with our mission and values and are excited to actively participate in the life of the church. We value calling and character as much as formal credentials.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
