YOUR ROLE The Aptiv Connection Systems Team is looking for a Software Project Lead to join the North America Engineering Team. The successful candidate will lead execution for North America program software delivery. The Software Project Lead will work with all competencies and managers to ensure flawless launch for North America OEM programs and support these programs post-production for delivery of changes. The successful candidate will manage regional resources working with engineering management and finance to ensure Aptiv’s lowest cost, highest quality initiatives. In your daily job you will:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of automotive production software experience
  • Experience with embedded software development
  • Experience leading project delivery teams

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Science
  • Software design and process experience (knowledge of Agile development process)
  • Knowledge of ASPICE (SPICE), Work Management tools (Jira), Requirements Management Tools ( Polarion /Doors), etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office ( i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
  • Resourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quickly

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer expectations for North America programs, as well as, provide availability for escalated issues to close quickly
  • Define main architecture decisions in coordination with software and systems architects
  • Coordinate globally regarding the design and release of building blocks to other regions
  • Identify resource plans and apply them to North America forecast based on Aptiv approved headcount, as well as, contract resources
  • Ensure all Aptiv Product Development Plan (PDP 2.0) Processes and training are available and documented by all team members
  • Maintain Aptiv Academy (formerly Aptiv Quiz Center) to maintain training records of all resources
  • Ensure flawless launch for all NA programs
  • Coordinate with engineering managers to identify team members for technical roles and support career development of team members
  • Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
