YOUR ROLE The SW Program Owner will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution and management of a software program or projects within the organization. The role combines technical knowledge with project management ensuring a successful delivery of software solutions. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, defining program requirements and leading the delivery of high quality software products. In your daily job you will: Program Management: Own the software development program end to end, from initiation to post launch phase Ensure that program is aligned with development plan, timelines, priorities, milestones and resource allocation Monitor and report on the progress of the program to key stakeholders including customers and OEMs Technical Management Ensure that right priorities are set based on technical needs of the program Support program team to make technical decisions Able to support technical discussions with stakeholders Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with business leaders, product managers and technical teams to define software program requirements and scope Serve as primary point of contact for program updates, issues and risks management Gather feedback from stakeholder to continuously refine and improve the program Risk and Issue Management Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or project failure Address and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during the program lifecyle Quality Assurance Ensure the software products meet quality standards and align with user requirements Drive testing and validation processes to ensure successful deployment Continuous Improvement Implement feedback loops and agile methodologies to continually improve processes and program delivery YOUR BACKGROUND Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5-8 yrs years Software Development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of SW development cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to balance business goals, technical feasibility and user/customer needs
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must be a local resident of Metro Detroit, with the ability to work onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • 8-10 years of experience in Software development
  • Experience in Automotive – Active Safety
  • Proven experience as SW Program Owner or SW Project Owner
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build systems, version control
  • Knowledge of ASPICE
  • Proficiency in SW and project management tools (eg. JIRA)

Responsibilities
