About The Position

The Software Product Manager is responsible for engaging with business partners in Operations & supporting groups to proactively identify opportunities, gather requirements, evaluate business cases, prioritize backlogs, and manage delivery using agile methodologies. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between our business needs and technical execution, driving the development of innovative software solutions that directly impact our operations and customer experience. This individual will be a key subject-matter expert of operations, processes, data mapping, workflows, and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of IT product management experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of business process analysis experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years working in Agile software development (e.g., Scrum, SAFE, Kanban).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the automotive repair industry.
  • Proven product development and product management lifecycle expertise.
  • Ability to lead teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive targeted results and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated abilities to function as the Agile / Scrum team Product Owner.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong foundation in data analysis in data driven decision making and KPI definition.
  • In depth knowledge of order management, production planning, procurement, and other processes pertains to the automotive repair industry.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Client-driven, process driven, metric focused, results oriented, organized, self-directed.
  • Understanding both the big picture and the process details of end-to-end business processes such as order to cash, procure to pay.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Innovative and creative thinker.
  • Hands-on experience with applications used in the automotive collision repair industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical IT background is a plus, including coding, systems analysis or working as part of a development team.
  • Certifications in Pragmatic Marketing, Certified Product Manager (CPM), SAFE or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) may be a plus when combined with experience.
  • IT Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with IT PMO as a Product Manager is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with Operations, business process owners, and other product managers in evaluating repair management process & IT application improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze data to define business requirements for enhancements or projects requested by stakeholders that require changes to operations related applications, software, and integrations.
  • Proactively identify and define process improvement opportunities that align with strategic business goals.
  • Define value-driven KPIs and OKRs to measure the success of product releases and improvements.
  • Create and manage (up to) a 12-month product executable roadmap.
  • Work closely with business and IT partners to capture solution designs and development estimates.
  • Lead an Agile sprint team as a Product Owner, refining and prioritizing the user story backlog.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from initial concept to delivery.
  • Foster and manage business partner, and IT engineering partner relationships.
  • Partner with the PMO on project charters, resource capacity planning, and initiative scheduling.
  • Define requirements for system performance, resiliency, privacy, and security.
  • Create user interface models and report mock-ups.
  • Manage the go-to-market and launch requirements for new products.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and manage mitigation plans for issues and risks.
  • Manage the resolution of application-related issues by providing assistance to peers and IT support teams.
