About The Position

The Software Pedigree Manager role at Kelly Services is a long-term contract position focused on overseeing change control processes and ensuring the readiness of vehicle software updates. The position involves collaboration with engineering teams, monitoring prototype builds, and managing the impact of part modifications on vehicle performance. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity of vehicle pedigree and facilitating communication among various stakeholders in the build process.

Requirements

  • Experience in software management and change control processes.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle engineering and build processes.
  • Ability to analyze engineering CAD documents and bill of materials.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Experience with prototype builds and vehicle pedigree management.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor change control processes and facilitate reviews at VPAT.
  • Track known updates that cannot be contained within the build.
  • Create a presence within build activities during prototype builds.
  • Determine optimal update plans and schedule updates accordingly.
  • Track vehicle pedigree and test readiness.
  • Work with program teams to lead small builds, including model year changeovers.
  • Interact with the engineering community to understand updates and their benefits.
  • Determine the impact of part modifications on other areas of the vehicle.
  • Review illustrations and engineering CAD documents to ensure all impacted parts are identified.
  • Lead durability prototype updates and coordinate signoff.
  • Conduct bill of material analysis.
  • Coordinate with Team Lead, Parts Ordering Specialist, and Garage Coordination Specialist to meet their needs in a timely manner.
