About The Position

IronMountain Solutions, LLC. is searching for a Materiel Release Coordinator to support a customer located in Huntsville, AL. Job Duties: Support the Software Materiel Release (MR) process by integrating and executing critical logistics actions to ensure that new software is safe, suitable, and supportable before it is fielded for use by the U.S. Army. Assist with all MR activities for various programs and modifications, including coordination with Logistics personnel, providing MR guidance, planning, and briefings. Ensure all actions comply with applicable Army MR regulations and policies such as AR 770-3, AR 700-142, and DA PAM 700-142 and others. Provide support to activities related to MR process, including Type Classification (TC), and Logistics support to government leads. Assist in MR risk identification, mitigation, tracking, and resolution. Collaborate across multiple program disciplines in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Evaluate customer and operational needs to develop MR safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits, as well as supportability documentation. Perform/Support a variety of hazard analyses across the full product life cycle such as Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Software Safety Hazard Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis. Interface with customers and program subject‑matter experts; prepare presentations, analyses, and reports for safety boards, design reviews, and readiness reviews. Deliver clear oral and written system‑safety and risk presentations in support of peers, leadership, customers, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Review and evaluate logistics data from OEMs and contractors, verifying technical content accuracy. Compile required products and processes to generate MR packages. Maintain document control, update compliance matrices, and prepare briefings. Track progress toward milestone objectives and follow up on action items and reportable tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 5 years of equivalent experience performing the responsibilities listed.
  • Knowledge and experience in MR processes for Full Materiel Release, Conditional Materiel Release, Urgent Materiel Release, and Software Materiel Release
  • Knowledge and experience in DoD Acquisitions and specifications to ensure product planning, development, acquisition, fielding plans, schedules, and strategies
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of an active SECRET government clearance or be willing to be subject to a government security clearance investigation. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible, positive attitude with the ability to adapt to challenges and ambiguity.
  • Able to multi‑task and prioritize competing tasks and information.
  • Demonstrated accountability for meeting deadlines and delivering results.
