As a Software Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence in our production environment. We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with expertise in LabVIEW, Visual Basic, a strong understanding of SQL databases, and a solid background in electronics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. You will report directly to our Senior Plant Manager and work out of our Acton, MA location in an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact the success of our business by ensuring the efficient production of high-quality electronic and software-based products while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and ability to innovate will be key in driving continuous improvement, advancing automation, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations.

  • Support Manufacturing during Assemblies and Test of product.
  • Analyze, designs, programs, debugs, and resolves issues related Testing, enhancing existing scripting and configuring new products to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Software engineers to identify system requirements and software modifications to translate product requirements into machine control software.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Work with process engineers to configure enhance digital visual aids.
  • Conduct software testing; evaluates and reports results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on electronics production or other related role.
  • Proficiency in Visual Basic and SQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW for data acquisition and control.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems and integration.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
