About The Position

Piper Companies is looking for a Software Manager, Technical Solutions to join a very profitable insurance organization. This is a full-time position offering hybrid flexibility out of Frederick, MD.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing web applications
• 2+ years of experience in people management/leadership positions (teams of 3+)
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with Java or .NET on the backend

Nice To Haves

• Experience in insurance or FinTech preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of digital platforms using microservices, cloud technologies, AI/ML, and DevOps principles.
• Lead and guide the scrum team to ensure the delivery of solutions.
• Build, mentor, and retain a team of high-performing Software Engineers and QA Analysts.
• Promote innovation and transformation by seeking out opportunities to improve processes and platforms.

Benefits

• $120,000 - $160,000 (based on experience) with 20% annual bonus eligibility
• 2 remote days per week
