About The Position

Role: Software Integration & Test Engineer Client: Defense-Aerospace Hourly Rate: up to $46/hr (W2, non-benefited) Length: 12-months Location: Scottsdale, AZ Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Responsibilities: Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting Suppprt development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+ Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams Support AGILE implementation Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software Maintain accurate records of test activities and results

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, and scripting languages, Python
  • Experience with hardware/software integration testing
  • Experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP)
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype environment, adapting to immediate course correction as needed
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors
  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
