About The Position

We are seeking a Software Integration Engineer to be the first member of a new team focused on building integrations above the vehicle platform layer, connecting C2-to-C2 systems, communications stacks, and other mission-critical software. This role is a blend of program-based integration work alongside core engineering responsibilities, providing both breadth and depth in systems integration. You will also be responsible for building, maintaining, and growing our open-source SDKs, including engaging with and nurturing the developer community that uses them. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in high-level object modeling, system interoperability, and translating complex requirements into reliable integrations.

Requirements

  • Strong programming experience in Go and Python.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing system integrations (APIs, SDKs, comms, etc.).
  • Ability to model high-level abstractions and design integration architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in mission systems, C2 platforms, or distributed communication systems.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with data serialization formats (e.g., JSON, Protobuf, CBOR) and messaging protocols (MQTT, gRPC, DDS).
  • Knowledge of defense, maritime autonomy, or other complex, multi-system domains.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between C2 systems, communication platforms, and related infrastructure.
  • Build and extend open-source SDKs, ensuring they are reliable, well-documented, and easy to use.
  • Actively engage with and support the open-source developer community, fostering adoption and contribution.
  • Model and design high-level abstractions that enable interoperability across diverse systems.
  • Collaborate with product, platform, and autonomy teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with mission needs.
  • Contribute to internal standards and best practices for integration architecture and community-facing SDK development.

Benefits

  • 100% Employer paid Health, Dental and Vision Insurance for you and your families.
  • Ability to participate in the companies 401k program.
  • Unlimited PTO policy with an enforced 2 week minimum.
  • Equity Package.
