About The Position

Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Software Integration Engineer to provide on-site support to Software Support Activity development teams through integration and troubleshooting/development support of software tools into RHEL configured execution environments. The hired candidate will support the multiple software applications that are installed and integrated into the finished environment as well as the installation and integration of tools into the combined baseline. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience Installing, testing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.
  • General technical knowledge of network, memory, and storage system components.
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools.
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting Linux Clusters.
  • Experience using system monitoring tools.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Understanding and experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
  • Ability to execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.
  • Ability to work In a fast-paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support to Software Support Activity development teams through integration and troubleshooting/development support of software tools into RHEL configured execution environments.
  • Support the multiple software applications that are installed and integrated into the finished environment
  • Installation and integration of tools into the combined baseline.
  • Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.
