We are looking for a highly motivated Software Integration Engineer II to join our team! The Software Integration Engineer II will ensure the efficient operation and integration of our software and provide hands-on technical support to internal teams and external customers. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a proactive mindset, capable of troubleshooting software issues, automating solutions, and contributing to documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data analysis and software executes in an optimal environment and provide timely support and resolutions to issues
  • Develop automated solutions to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot software
  • Collaborate with internal software and bioinformatics teams to recommend solutions and improvements
  • Facilitate the integration of Ultima software with customer's sequencing workflow
  • Capture and document root cause and lessons learned from issues
  • Compile statistics and key metrics for software performance and reliability
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in data or software engineering, operations, and/or support
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and at least one high level programming language (e.g. Python) in a Linux environment
  • Solid understanding of Linux subsystems and internals
  • Experience with software QA, as well as with build, release, and deployment processes
  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructure such as AWS, is desirable
  • Excel in collaborating both within and across teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
