Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Software Infrastructure Engineering candidate to be an active participant on the Software Infrastructure development team for our Modernized Infrastructure projects, working with cutting edge technologies in products that help to protect our warfighter. What You Will Do: Support infrastructure/DevOps build and automation activities utilizing programming/scripting skills (Ruby, Python, Go, PowerShell, and Java) and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Participate in collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions. Develop Modernized Software Infrastructure utilizing DevOps tools such as: Ansible, Chef, and the Atlassian Tool suite. Develop DevOps concepts, Containerization, and related product development for our program’s new modernized Infrastructure systems using tools such as: Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes. Collaborate with other disciplines and senior technical staff, in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems. Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems and Software Infrastructure Engineers.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience in software development utilizing scripting languages such as: Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Bash, or Shell.
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Any knowledge/experience with Linux, Windows or related System Operating systems at the Command Line Interface is preferred.
  • Experience using development tools such as: Ansible, Chef, Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence or similar.
  • Experience with Network design and architecture schemes
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies such as: AWS, Google, Gov DevSecOps Toolsets experience, either as user or implementor
  • Software Development Lifecycle, including Agile philosophy
  • Experience with Cyber security Concepts is a Plus.
