About The Position

Apple's Marcom Platforms & Services (MP&S) team is looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help bring Apple's online experiences to life. MP&S is responsible for many of Apple's iconic brand experiences across various websites, apps, and worldwide retail stores. Our teams collaborate across disciplines while using best practices and the latest open-source technologies to deliver high-impact projects and solutions that serve various Apple lines of business. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with an ownership mindset and a keen focus on the customer. We value excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical skills, as they are crucial in delivering the consistent, high-quality experiences expected of Apple.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building complex, high-performing web experiences.
• Demonstrated expertise in core front-end technologies, utilizing semantic HTML, contemporary CSS techniques, and fundamental JavaScript.
• Proficiency working with React.
• Practical experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with broader web development technologies, frameworks, and runtimes such as Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Webpack, and/or CSS pre/post processors such as Sass.
• Experience developing and working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Firm understanding of security best practices and vulnerabilities.
• Experience working in a global environment across multiple time zones and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in the architecture, development, and delivery of campaigns and tools serving multiple lines of business.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create prototypes, utilities, or refine existing platforms and applications.
• Interface with several disciplines, teams, and external partners to improve production and delivery.
• Expand the ever-growing toolkit for front-end development.
