About The Position

Plan and execute software evaluations in lab settings to assess mission systems performance, reliability, and stability. Develop test procedures, data collection strategies, and evaluation criteria tailored to lab-based configurations. Coordinate with software developers, systems integrators, and test leads to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies. Support integration of new software builds into lab environments and verify functionality across interface components. Document test results, anomalies, and findings in formal reports and provide recommendations for improvement. Ensure software testing aligns with program requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and mission needs. Participate in technical reviews, integration readiness events, and lab architecture planning sessions. Working knowledge of MBSE concepts and digital thread integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in mission systems software test, evaluation, or integration roles
  • Proficiency in test planning, data analysis, and lab-based validation of software components
  • Experience working with DoD systems and structured test environments
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, confluence, DOORS, and test automation frameworks
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI
  • Working knowledge of MBSE concepts and digital thread integration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Air Force lab-based testing or platform-specific mission systems (e.g., sensors, comms, avionics)
