About The Position

The Software Engineer II position at Intelligrated Services, LLC in Mason, OH involves developing complex project and standard library PLC (programmable logic controller) code. The role requires designing and setting up Ethernet IP network configurations, including screens, reports, and HMI (Human Machine Interface). The engineer will maintain and track issues, report progress, and participate in PLC code reviews and audits. Additionally, the position includes executing test plans on-site, developing system architecture, operation descriptions, functional specifications, and interfacing documents for equipment. The engineer will monitor project phasing, adhere to project specifications, assign resources for on-site commissioning, and assist with client training for project turnover. Regular attendance at team meetings and management of project budgets averaging $3M is also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 year of controls engineering experience.
  • Experience in Warehouse Logistics, E-Commerce Material Handling Systems, High speed conveying and sortation.
  • Low and High Voltage conveyor experience.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programming in Allen Bradley, Siemens PLCs.
  • HMI, SCADA design and implementation in Allen Bradley, Wonderware, Ignition.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, Profibus, devicenet, ControlNet network protocols.
  • Experience with WCS, WES protocols, PANDA applications, Scanning and vision systems.
  • Familiarity with Forecasting and scheduling, Lean methodology for project execution.
  • Experience in Studio 5000, Siemens Step 7, B&R Automation studio, ZoneFlex configurator, InControl Ware, Navisworks, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Teamcenter, SICK, Cognex, Datalogic, and SST configurator.
  • Project planning, scheduling and forecasting using CORA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex project and standard library PLC code.
  • Design and set up Ethernet IP network configurations including screens, reports, and HMI.
  • Maintain and track issues and report progress as requested.
  • Participate in PLC code reviews and audits.
  • Execute test plans on site, including internal and customer acceptance testing.
  • Develop system architecture, operation descriptions, functional specifications, and interfacing documents for equipment.
  • Monitor project phasing and adhere to project specifications while maintaining as sold scope.
  • Assign resources tasks for on-site commissioning and maintain site resource plans.
  • Assist with training the client to facilitate project turnover.
  • Review client Scope of Work/Request for Proposal/Request for Quote and resolve reported issues.
  • Attend weekly team meetings, review scheduled tasks, and report project progress.
  • Manage project budgets averaging $3M and report monthly.
