We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support aerospace engineering projects, with a focus on embedded software development teams. This role provides critical operational, coordination, and documentation support to ensure compliance-driven development (e.g., DO-178C) runs efficiently. The position acts as a central hub for cross-project communication, onboarding, metrics tracking, tool support, and team coordination, enabling engineers to focus on technical execution while maintaining audit-ready processes and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a structured, process-driven environment
  • Ability to analyze data and generate basic metrics and trend reports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools for documentation, tracking, and reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting embedded software or systems engineering teams is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of embedded software engineering practices, methods, and techniques
  • Working knowledge of ALM/PLM tools (e.g., Polarion, JIRA, or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage Collaboration Access Plans (CAPs) to ensure compliant access to engineering environments, including creation, updates, and audits
  • Maintain user access lists and serve as the primary point of contact for contractor IT and tool access issues
  • Support procurement of engineering tools, test equipment, and software, including vendor coordination, quotes, and purchase tracking
  • Perform basic analysis within lifecycle management tools (e.g., Polarion), such as identifying orphaned reviews, requirements, and work items
  • Develop and maintain dry-run procedures, checklists, and supporting scripts for process readiness (e.g., audits, reviews, and milestones)
  • Collect, baseline, and analyze program metrics (e.g., review completion, defect trends, compliance indicators) and generate trend reports
  • Maintain program documentation, including team rosters, contact lists, organizational charts, and distribution lists
  • Support recruiting and staffing activities by tracking candidates, consolidating feedback, and coordinating interview panel communications
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including submission and tracking of access and environment provisioning tickets
  • Attend engineering and program meetings; capture minutes, track action items, and ensure timely closure in alignment with program objectives
  • Provide light technical writing and document support, including formatting, proofreading, maintaining reference materials, and managing acronym lists
  • Ensure documentation and processes remain aligned with aerospace quality and compliance standards
