What you’ll be doing: As a Software Engineer at Salesforce, you will be part of a dynamic global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the growth needs of the business. You will be involved in projects that will optimize current services and work on building next generation software for the global production environment. You will collaborate with the Engineering and Development teams to ensure the designed service is fully operational with streamlined processes and procedures for ongoing support and maintenance. Some of the things you'll be doing include... Identify areas where software can be developed to provide operational efficiency and detailed visibility into metrics and ongoing activities to the customer. Identify areas where software and AI based automation can be developed to reduce errors, increase availability and velocity of operations. Enhance our automation capabilities and develop orchestration to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Design, develop and test software keeping a, b and c in mind and working with other engineers on the team. Support Puppet and Oracle operational work. Be excellent in organization and time management. Your technical skills should include Excellent analytical and coding skills. Must have expertise in Python, Javascript, Go Experience in Postgress, Terraform, Kubernetes, Karpenter is preferred. Knowledge in Database Operations. Experience in public cloud skills AWS/GCP Experience with Puppet Nice to have Knowledge in Elastic Search/Kibana stack. Knowledge in REST APIs. Who you are… Self-starter. Communicate clearly and efficiently with internal partners (Architects, other teams, Support Engineers, and so on) and stakeholders to share information, resolve dependencies or problems, and integrate feedback.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
  • Experience in AWS and GCP
  • Excellent programming skills in Python / Java / Terraform / Go
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to shift directions quickly when priorities change, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proactive and forward thinking attitude and creative problem solving ability
  • Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Postgress, Terraform, Kubernetes, Karpenter is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Database Operations.
  • Experience with Puppet
  • Knowledge in Elastic Search/Kibana stack.
  • Knowledge in REST APIs.
