About The Position

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 5 years of IT experience (or Master’s degree in Computers or Engineering or a related field and 3 years of IT experience).
  • Must have experience with: DataStage; Informatica; Oracle; Unix; Production support; Maintaining application data accurately; Fixing production abends; Resolving data quality issues; Control-M; SAS; VSS; Monitoring and maintaining Production system; Data validation; Enterprise Batch Scheduling tool; Root cause analysis; Ticket triage and analysis; Application problem management; Ensuring that production support SLA metrics are met; ESP; and, HPSM.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as subject matter expert for production best practices, technical and operating standards (e.g. Run time improvements, Data Quality improvements) and workflow processes.
  • Partner in the Post Implementation and Warranty project phases, also participate in deferred defects discussions.
  • Accountable for supporting the various escalation processes for multiple work efforts including issue Tickets, Service Request Issues, Root Cause Analysis, and /or Escalated Workarounds.
  • Works with strategic partner & IT areas to deliver high availability systems for business customers and clients.
  • Respond 7X24 to alerts & participate in P1/P2 calls; identify root cause & participate in triage/restoration efforts.
  • Participate in Application Problem Management including resolution, communication, reporting and ticket routing.
