As a Software Engineering Project Manager (EPM) within the Clinical Operations team at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and developing software tools that support clinical studies aimed at improving health and wellness. This position is integral to the Health Clinical Operation Group, which is responsible for planning and conducting clinical studies that leverage innovative technologies to enhance user health outcomes. You will collaborate with a diverse team of experts to build and refine health study applications and infrastructure tools that empower the Study Operation Team to conduct research and clinical validation studies efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will define project requirements and drive the development of tools based on specific study designs. You will guide the design and integration of data collection, analysis, and study monitoring processes to facilitate swift vendor onboarding. Your responsibilities will include scoping and prioritizing features and bug fixes, representing the team in project meetings, and fostering best engineering practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that adheres to privacy, security, and clinical compliance guidelines. You will be responsible for communicating project definitions, roadmaps, plans, schedules, and statuses to executives and multi-functional teams. As a fearless organizer, you will partner with highly skilled software and hardware teams to brainstorm ideas, identify viable approaches, and mitigate potential risks to the execution plan. Your ability to work with large, matrixed teams will promote cross-team technology sharing, and you will interact with various engineering design fields, data analysis teams, and additional project management teams. Adaptability and the ability to respond swiftly to changes will be crucial in this dynamic environment.
