the people around us. The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a software
engineering project manager (EPM) to help us build the next generation of
Augmented Reality (AR) interactive solutions for Apple platforms. As a member of
our organization you will lead teams crafting future products that will delight,
inspire and empower millions of people.

DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will drive cross-functional programs and feature areas in
spatial computing, augmented reality and connectivity for visionOS and other
Apple platforms. You will partner with engineering management to lead projects
through the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery. You should
bring solid experience in system software and project management, strong
communication and leadership skills and a track record of driving and delivering
multiple complex projects simultaneously. You should demonstrate high integrity,
high energy and feel comfortable in a dynamic and constantly changing
environment. As an experienced project leader for various complex technical
projects, you will need to build strong collaborative relationships both within
the organization and cross-functionally. The ability to confidently and calmly
manage any conflicts and challenges along the way is a must—as well as being
able to help the team drive clarity out of ambiguity. You will be responsible
for successful outcomes and delivery, driving your projects with a keen eye for
important details and communicating clearly on status and risks. If you relish

Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience with a BS/MS, Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience
• Experience in software program or project management
• Experience and consistent track record leading and shipping multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Experience driving and delivering critical project features which involve integration with multiple different teams
• Working knowledge of software development practices including development planning, software bug management, and release management
• Ability to create and execute plans in ambiguous settings, identifying priorities and driving what matters
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into executive summaries, create detailed engineering roadmaps, and produce stakeholder communications across engineering, design, and business teams
• Proven ability to effectively partner cross-functionally with both engineers and engineering leadership, establish trust quickly, and build strong trust-based relationships in order to move work forward

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity or prior experience in any of the following areas: augmented and virtual reality or computer vision
• Familiarity or prior experience in any of the following areas: bluetooth / wifi technologies, system software (low level software, device drivers, and/or pre-silicon)
• Curiosity and passion for new technologies and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts
