The Software Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of crew training simulations and displays, providing full life-cycle support and maintenance for training simulation software and associated hardware labs. Additionally, the manager is involved in new business development and proposals, including research and development projects and major program estimations for future software initiatives. The Software Manager leads teams of employees engaged in engineering and technical activities within Software Engineering. This role includes developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The manager acquires resources for projects, provides technical oversight of suppliers, and drives process improvements. Building and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and team members is essential. The Software Manager also provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes while managing, developing, and motivating employees.
