This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. As a Software Engineering Manager at Boeing, you will lead and support a team of software development engineers, who will be working on various programs throughout the company. You will build and leverage connections across organizations to solicit and respond to time-sensitive staffing requests. We are seeking a manager with experience in software product development—including tools, processes, and ideally platform ecosystems—who is familiar with the software engineering lifecycle or has a background in software engineering. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing people's careers, proactively finds growth opportunities, removes roadblocks, communicates exceptionally well, and is comfortable advocating for engineers while also collaborating effectively with business stakeholders.   • Proven experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, fostering career growth and cultivating an inclusive, innovative, and respectful team culture
  • Proven experience attracting, developing, and challenging a diverse group of developers with a passion for driving excellence in software development
  • Familiarity with automation techniques to increase pace and flexibility within the enterprise
