About The Position

In this role, you will lead a high-impact engineering team responsible for shaping critical parts of the customer shopping journey, from selecting a retailer to building a cart. You will drive the delivery of intuitive, data-driven features that improve how users discover, evaluate, and choose products. Operating at the intersection of engineering, product, design, and data science, you will influence both consumer-facing experiences and the underlying platform capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex technical systems at scale while empowering a growing team of engineers. You will own long-term roadmaps, guide architectural decisions, and champion operational excellence. Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing teams of 8+ engineers.
• Proven experience leading full-stack teams delivering consumer-facing products, high-scale APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong background in service-oriented architectures, API design, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java, or Python, with hands-on experience in cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
• Demonstrated ability to define technical strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver complex projects end-to-end.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers, with a strong commitment to inclusion and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 10+ software engineers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
• Own and execute multi-quarter roadmaps that deliver measurable improvements in product impact, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with engineering, product, design, and data teams to design platform capabilities and APIs that support rapid experimentation and long-term maintainability.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, architectural guidance, code reviews, and operational oversight, including on-call and incident response.
• Drive the delivery of high-visibility consumer features focused on health insights, nutrition data, and product discovery.
• Manage complex priorities across a broad surface area, aligning stakeholders and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
