As a Software Engineering Manager, Senior within PNC's Workforce Identity Engineering organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. This position is not available in all geographic areas. The Privileged Access Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for delivering enterprise privileged access management (PAM) capabilities that protect critical systems while enabling secure administrative and application access. This role is accountable for building and shaping a high performing engineering team, setting technical direction within the PAM domain, and ensuring reliable, risk aligned delivery of privileged access services. While familiarity with CyberArk or PAM platforms is valuable, success in this role depends primarily on strong technical leadership, people management, and the ability to mature a growing engineering capability. The role involves managing a group of software engineers/managers across multiple product lines, overseeing talent management including recruiting, mentoring, and fostering a culture of learning with a focus on engineering craftsmanship. It also entails encouraging technological innovation, ensuring adoption of current trends, capabilities, and practices, and driving sound technology choices, innovative architecture, and solution design. The manager will identify issues, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
