Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Embedded Software / Firmware Engineering Manager to join our team. Requirements

  • 8+ years of, or PhD + 4 years of embedded software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations focused on embedded systems, including performance management
  • Bachelor of Science/Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in embedded systems
  • Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing embedded software engineers
  • 2+ years of experience in managing a team of engineers with varied skill levels, specifically in embedded software development

Nice To Haves

  • Developing embedded ML / AI inference pipelines
  • Building low-power + highly resource constrained products (Wearables, Mobile, Robotics)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of embedded software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions for hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, product) to drive technical innovation in embedded systems
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives within the constraints of embedded environments
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement in embedded software development practices
