About The Position

The SWE (Software Engineering) Data Analytics team at Apple collects, processes, and analyzes diagnostics and telemetry data from Apple devices across the world. We build systems to gather, understand, catalog and track this data and its use through its lifecycles. The Data Governance team within Data Analytics develops and owns the systems responsible for making sure our internal and external commitments to user privacy, security, and compliance are met. In this role you'll lead the team which develops software, collaborates with our data engineering, Privacy and Legal teams, in addition to working with the teams creating and managing the datasets themselves. Requirements

• Track record of building and managing high-performance software engineering teams.
• Strong sense of ownership of the development process and drive for constant improvements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in architecting, building and maintaining complex, multi-component applications.
• Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline team of software engineers building the data governance solution for Apple Software Engineering.
• Drive the creation of UI, API and reporting components for stakeholders to update, interrogate and audit data governance metadata.
• Collaborate with data engineering, Privacy and Legal teams, and teams managing datasets.
• Ensure Apple meets its goals around Privacy, Compliance and Security.
