The manager is responsible for growing and mentoring engineers as it relates to technical skills and career development. They assist with cross-team strategic efforts, influencing decisions to achieve efficient delivery of business value, and understand cross-team technical roadmaps, advocating new product abilities based on technical strategy and constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six to eight years of relevant technical experience
  • Five or more years of leading a software engineering team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with or leading teams that have worked with GDS integration to API, searching hotel / flight and booking that content
  • Working with or leading teams that have worked APIs to get NDC flight content either through a GDS or another NDC aggregator
  • Experiencing working implementations versus maintenance only of the GDS
  • Be a highly technical engineering manager capable of holding your own in technical discussions

  • Be a multiplier and effectively manage engineers delivering on roadmap and helping team members simultaneously on developing their careers

  • Operate in a rapidly evolving environment and be able to quickly adapt and prioritize as needed
  • Collaborate with senior management and build cross-team and cross-functional partnerships to drive engineering efforts to completion
