Submit your application. About the Team The NCM (Nutanix Cloud Manager) team is a revenue-generating customer portfolio product team . Our primary responsibility is to own and manage the Nutanix Cloud Manager portfolio product . Within this scope, this team focuses heavily on AI ops , with a focus on monitoring, observability, and machine learning for operations . We own critical services, such as the alerting service, as well as services that perform tasks like capacity planning and anomaly detection . Our work also encompasses additional monitoring functionality, including event management and security issue auditing .

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as an F1, H1B, or TN visa.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and either Java or Golang.
  • Strong knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI pipeline development.
  • Understanding of modern infrastructure concepts and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in exploratory projects.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or coursework in distributed systems and operating systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an exploratory project focusing on future capabilities of AI operations and machine learning.
  • Produce production-quality code using Python and either Java or Golang, with an emphasis on statistical modeling.
  • Leverage knowledge of containers (Kubernetes, Docker) for deployment and management processes.
  • Engage actively in mentorship and collaboration with team members to navigate projects and goals.
  • Document and review all developed code to integrate it into the production system pipeline.
  • Track project progress against a detailed planner with weekly milestones to ensure predictable execution.
  • Present findings and outcomes to leadership at the conclusion of the internship, demonstrating overall learning and contributions.
  • Contribute to enhancing core services such as alerting, anomaly detection, and capacity planning within the Nutanix Cloud Manager portfolio.
