Are open to receiving workplace support from Specialisterne Summary Organization: Healthfirst Team Name: Customer Digital Experience Job Title: Software Engineering Intern Location: 100 Church Street, New York, NY 10007 (Applicants should be within commutable distance to role location) Employment Terms: This is a summer internship role (Duration: 10 weeks) This is a hybrid role requiring in-person work three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) Access to a private workspace with reliable internet connection is required for hybrid work days Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri (9:00am-5:00pm) Internship Start Date: June 1, 2026 Internship End Date: August 7, 2026 Estimated pay rate: $38,200 - $49,920 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

Requirements

  • A desire to learn new tools and solve challenging problems using technology
  • Ability to learn new programming languages quickly
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others as part of a team
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to follow-up proactively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (using verbal and written communication)
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Familiarity with React and Python
  • Basic understanding of AWS
  • Must be a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technology-focused discipline at an accredited institution

Responsibilities

  • Assess existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain accuracy, completeness, and quality on relevant product deliverables
  • Work on software features in collaboration with others, including users across other departments and functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required
