Lockheed Martin Space in Boulder, CO is seeking Software Engineer Intern on the Software, Systems, Cyber, and Operations (S2CO) Team. S2CO develops, delivers, and operates affordable engineering and sustainment solutions for commercial, military and intelligence users across the globe. The team develops creative enterprise, cloud and application-based solutions for mission management, command and control, collection orchestration and tasking, processing, data analysis and analytics along with premier operations and sustainment capabilities of space- based programs in support of national security. This exciting engineering position is with the Real-time Transfer Service (RTS) team in Boulder, Colorado. The successful candidate will excel working as part of a technical team of software engineers whom successfully design, code, integrate, test and deploy complex systems to the customer. This position will be responsible for contributing to detailed design, coding new content and bug fixes, contributing to unit testing, automating unit testing where possible, and contributing to integration testing as needed. The candidate will be comfortable in an ever-changing dynamic environment and work well in an agile team. Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hardware engineering, DevSecOps, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Software Engineering, or related degree.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance required

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest and experience in developing with C++ and Python as well as learning and developing new SW related skills.
  • Must have good communication skills, be able to effectively work in a team environment, capable of solving complex problems, and be able to focus on understanding capabilities at a system level and delivering complete products.
