About The Position

The Emerson Test & Measurement PBU Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support the design and development of test frameworks, product and application demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept using NI-developed products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with NI development teams to define requirements, document solutions, design system architectures, and develop and deploy code and infrastructure components that enable the timely and high-quality release of NI products. This internship is a highly engaging, hands-on opportunity that involves daily interaction with NI engineering teams. The role is cross-functional in nature, requiring a diverse set of engineering skills to solve technical challenges, execute development tasks, and build new features. You will contribute to demos deployed worldwide and help advance customer opportunities through impactful Proofs of Concept.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • Strong understanding of high-level programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of software design and architecture principles is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize Demos and Proofs of Concept to showcase NI solutions and clearly articulate their value for targeted customer use cases.
  • Conduct research as needed to define requirements and develop new demonstrations or enhance existing demos and Proofs of Concept.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues within existing demos and Proofs of Concept to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
