About The Position

At Mach9, Software Engineers build the core systems that power the future of infrastructure design. Our platform transforms raw LiDAR and geospatial data into engineering-grade deliverables used by civil engineers and surveyors around the world. This role is ideal for students who want to work on technically challenging problems and ship real features in production. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and designers on a modern 2D/3D web-based platform that blends CAD-like precision with the usability of modern consumer tools. From front-end UI to graphics and infrastructure, you’ll have opportunities to make a real impact while learning how complex systems are built in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field (Graduating 2026–2027)
  • Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with modern web development tools (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js)
  • Curiosity about 3D graphics, geospatial tools, infrastructure, or AI-assisted design
  • A desire to learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and solve hard technical problems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D rendering libraries like Three.js
  • Interest in WebGL, WebGPU, or graphics performance optimization
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, GitHub, or Postgres
  • Previous work on design tools, mapping software, or visualization projects

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship user-facing features and internal tools across our full-stack platform
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to deliver polished UI and performant interactions
  • Contribute to our 3D map and QA tools using technologies like React, ThreeJS, and WebGL
  • Work with real-world data from LiDAR scans, satellite imagery, and infrastructure projects
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and product reviews with the full team
