If you're ready, we want you to join us as a Software Engineering Intern, in the Galley Inserts and Chillers team in Lenexa, KS. We specialize in designing galley insert products and aircraft galley chiller systems for commercial and military programs. If you're ready to take the jump, your time is now! This role is onsite, in Lenexa, KS. This position is eligible for relocation.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Nice To Haves

• Self-Starter who loves writing code in Python and/or C languages.
• Ability to work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Software test requirements / specifications.
• Knowledge in developing solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
• Some exposure to Gitlab and hardware peripherals such as CANBUS, SPI, IIC.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and deploy various software projects ranging from Windows applications to embedded software.
• Gain exposure to engineering from a systems engineering perspective.
• Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Collins Interior Systems.
• Lead your own portion of a project.
• Collaborate with international sites and across disciplines.
• Be exposed to software lifecycle processes such as code reviews, software documentation, and testing/validation.
