About The Position
As a Software Engineer Intern at Thomson Reuters for the Summer of 2025, you will engage in a dynamic internship that emphasizes real-world project experience and networking opportunities with employees and executives across the globe. This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in Information Technology, Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive team that is dedicated to developing industry-leading software solutions for our customers in the legal, tax, accounting, corporate, news, and media sectors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and develop web-based research solutions that cater to both national and international customers, utilizing programming languages such as Java, C#, Ruby, and Groovy. You will also work on developing large content management systems, including data repositories and user interfaces, while gaining hands-on experience with automated testing using tools like Selenium. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work within a large-scale Agile environment, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. Additionally, you will engage in performance analysis and tuning of application servers, investigate system operational issues, and perform root cause analysis. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, as well as Big Data mining techniques and Artificial Intelligence methods, including Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, will further enhance your skill set.
