You’ll help create software that improves patient care and streamlines pharmacy operations Job Summary: The Software Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting in the development of web‑based user interfaces using TypeScript and React to support pharmacy automation and workflow applications. They will work closely with other engineers to modernize legacy systems by re‑implementing functionality in modern frontend frameworks. The Intern will be expected to participate in Agile practices, contribute to troubleshooting efforts, and apply best practices in software development and design patterns. This role requires a motivated, detail‑oriented contributor who is eager to grow their skills while supporting real engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related field
  • Coursework or hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, or React
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts and object-oriented programming
  • Interest in web development and modern application frameworks
  • Strong desire to learn and grow as a software engineer
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling strong cross‑functional collaboration and professional interactions
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented engineering environment
  • Highly self‑motivated, demonstrating strong work ethic, reliability, and exceptional attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with React (Redux a plus)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or cloud-based development
  • Basic knowledge of Windows environments or services
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing web-based user interfaces using TypeScript and React
  • Support efforts to modernize legacy applications by helping re-implement functionality in React
  • Utilize software engineering tools such as source control systems, build tools, and debuggers
  • Participate in team activities including Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and propose solutions
  • Contribute to testing, debugging, and improving application performance
  • Learn and apply best practices in software development, design patterns, and coding standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
