About the position
NAR Simulation is dedicated to developing realistic training tools for military and emergency medical clients. The NAR Associate will be a team member in the Simulations department, facilitating smooth processes among team members. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate class commitments, with a focus on punctuality and dependability.
Responsibilities
- Develop software using C#, WPF, Visual Studio or similar, .NET Framework, and Git.
- Design, test, and develop software components that integrate with existing software.
- Work with medium-sized code bases (greater than 10,000 lines of code).
- Design and develop user interfaces.
- Work with a messaging API to request and respond to remote devices.
- Gather and analyze requirements.
Requirements
- Junior level status towards a BS in an ABET accredited software development program.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail).
- Knowledge of fundamental software development principles.
- Self-starter with the ability to carry tasks from start to finish with minimal direction.
- Ability to define tasks from vague concepts and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Attention to detail and a strong quality orientation.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior work experience in software development.
