About The Position

Allegion is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Software Engineering (DevOps) Internship. At Allegion, our software teams are focused on building great software that allows our IoT enabled security hardware to do amazing things. In this role you will have the opportunity to do Cloud (AWS), CI/CD(GitLab), IAC(Terraform) development. You will also be exposed to Monitoring/Observability tools and technologies that we use to build best in class solutions. You will get a chance to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering
• Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
• A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion's business and customers

Responsibilities

• Participate in DevOps discussions and implement automation solutions on real projects
• Work with a team to produce well-rounded DevOps solutions
• Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
• Analyze and define software requirements to determine specifications and standards
• Develop, design, and edit original automation scripts, frameworks and cloud configurations, or modify existing automation code in GitLab
• May specialize in one or more areas of DevOps including IAC, Cloud, CI/CD or Monitoring/Observability
