About The Position

SEL's Government Services Department is seeking a team-orientated candidate to be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. If you are a current student looking for an opportunity to develop your software engineering skills, sharpen your team communication skills, learn from world class engineers, and enhance your academic learning, then this may be the position for you! As a Software Engineer Intern, a typical day might include the following: Soliciting requirements from SEL process owners. Implement software design. Participating in code reviews. Supporting SEL's software development process.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
• Programming experience in Go, Typescript, C#, Python, or equivalent programming language, or eager to learn.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with or interest in Go, Typescript, C#, or Python.
