About The Position

The Infotainment team is building an immersive in-vehicle digital experience where drivers interact with their vehicles and connect with the outside world. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will play a key role in designing and developing user-facing applications that contribute to this digital experience, such as the Navigation application, which directly impacts the customer’s EV experience. You will ensure quality, robustness, and performance in our Android-based applications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program at an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Proficiency using Android and Android Jetpack APIs.

Nice To Haves

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related technical field with the intent to return to school following completion of internship.
  • Expected graduation of December 2026 or later.
  • Experience developing Android Apps.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of Android design principles and application interface guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications on Android OS, contributing to critical features like navigation or media.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and UI/UX design teams, to define application features.
  • Debug and fix application issues before final release.
  • Write test code to test for quality, robustness, and functional correctness, including edge cases.
  • Design and implement subsequent application updates and releases.
  • Grow your skills through continual learning, workshops, conferences, and talks.
