About The Position

The position requires a candidate with experience in Vantage-One/wmA and a strong background in development, particularly in COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, and DB2. The role involves development, coding, customization, product development, bug fixing, and developing code using languages like JCL COBOL on Vantage-One products. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains, assist in solving complex technical challenges, and contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices. Additionally, the candidate will mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Live within commutable distance from the DXC office in Nashville, TN.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing Life Insurance products is mandatory.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in Vantage/WMA.
• Strong programming and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies (Scrum/Waterfall are ideal).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good team collaboration and communication abilities.
• Willingness to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
