About Slack Slack is your Digital HQ – a place where work flows between your people, systems, partners, and customers. From Fortune 100 companies to corner markets, millions of people around the world use Slack to connect their teams, unify their systems, and drive their business forward. Slack breaks down communication silos inside and beyond your organization by bringing teams and tools together around common goals, projects and processes in channels and in Slack Connect. It removes the limits of physical walls, giving people the flexibility to do their best work where, when and how they prefer with features like huddles and clips. And it empowers everyone to automate common tasks with apps and workflows. In this digital-first era, Slack’s mission is to make people’s work lives simpler, more pleasant, and more productive. Pillars We are Hiring For: Slack’s Product Surfaces team is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend to shape Slack’s overall desktop client experience—think design, systems, frameworks, and capabilities that shape the core experience that millions use every day. This team ensures that all the new and fundamental features of Slack work in harmony, with a focus on interoperability and cohesion. This person would collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across the entire company, by creating and supporting surface areas and capabilities that guide feature development at scale. We’re looking for someone with a deep care of craft, quality, and ownership. The Slackforce team is seeking Lead Frontend Engineers to lead development of high-impact, cross-platform experiences between Slack and Salesforce. We build the integration that brings Salesforce data and workflows directly into Slack. Our work is central to how enterprises collaborate: creating the connective tissue that makes two of the world’s most widely used platforms feel like one seamless system. The Frontend DevXP team is part of the DevXP pillar. As a pillar, we empower developers to write, build, test, and deploy code seamlessly across mobile, desktop, and multiple operating systems while solving unique scaling challenges. As the Frontend DevXP team, we work on tooling that is used by engineers to build, package, test and ship Slack’s frontend code. That means improving reliability, speeding up feedback loops, reducing cognitive load, and actively listening to developer pain to prioritize the work that matters most. We’re shaping a development environment where engineers stay in flow with fast builds, minimal friction, and tooling that feels intuitive rather than intrusive. As part of this team you will be making the development inner loop faster of 300+ developers by making the FE build system efficient and reliable
