About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Entry-level Software Engineer to support a large classified software development program in Herndon, VA. Requirements

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related technical or scientific fields, with 0-2 years of experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge working with Java OOP development.
• Willingness to learn and become an effective team member.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• An already active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 3.0 and above GPA.
• Demonstrated experience with the systems engineering life-cycle.
• Previous hands-on experience through coursework or internships.
• Previous hands-on coding experience with Python, Angular, Postgres, & SQL.

Responsibilities

• Apply agile development processes to implement features as defined by user stories, 3-week Sprints/3 Month Spins.
• Develop using Java full stack.
• Develop and maintain platform-related applications and libraries.
• Maintain existing applications as requirements are requested and when updates are required.
• Resolve database issues and create new features/functionality for existing databases.
