The Software Engineer position at United HealthCare Services, Inc involves working in an Agile methodology to deliver high-quality products through web applications and automation tools. The role includes providing peer feedback, testing, and support in a fast-paced, agile team environment. The engineer will work closely with software developers and test engineers to understand software workflows, use cases, and specifications for creating automated tests across applications. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and documenting the test automation framework, supporting new automated testing infrastructure, and collaborating with the Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams to plan and develop automated test suites. The position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

  • Involve in Agile methodology to deliver best quality of the product by web applications or other automation tools.
  • Provide peer feedback, testing, and support in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
  • Work closely with software developers and test engineers to understand software workflows, use cases, and specifications.
  • Create automated tests across the application.
  • Design, develop, and document the test automation framework.
  • Develop and support new automated testing infrastructure and processes.
  • Design and implement frameworks for testing Web Services.
  • Work with the Product, DevOps, and Engineering team to plan and develop automated test suites.
  • Develop and expand existing Automation framework with open-source tools.
  • Use and develop tools for effective testing and engineering processes.
  • Write high quality code for a product that is used internally to help process claims for UHC.
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Computer-related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience in .Net technologies including .Net 8, Blazor, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, Entity Framework, LINQ, Web Services, Web Forms, WinForms and Windows Services.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and PL SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in C# and VB.Net.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Familiarity with GitHub and TFS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft IIS.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with Power BI and MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Knowledge of .Net technologies including WPF, WCF or Web API.
  • Experience with scripting technologies including Angular JS, React JS, TypeScript or Bro.
  • Familiarity with methodologies including Waterfall or DevOps.
  • Experience with Postman, UML, MS Visio, GitHub CodeQL, SonarQube or Automation Manager Processing Engine.
