  • Work on the ParentSquare Web application, which is built using Ruby on Rails
  • Solve complex end-user issues working with the customer success team to understand the problem
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems working closely with the tech team
  • Design and implement new features
  • Write test cases using RSpec for all code additions and changes
  • Coordinate with team members who work on different layers of infrastructure
  • 2+ years of professional web application development experience
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails preferred (or a desire to learn how to use Ruby)
  • Experience working with large-scale web applications
  • Proficiency with RESTful API development
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Some experience in DevOps and systems
  • Understanding of version control including using Git
  • Proficiency with commonly used AWS services is a big plus
  • Familiarity with agile or lean software development
  • Experience in writing integration and unit tests
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
